Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime

James Williams

Some time ago I came across a rather good cover arrangement of "Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime" on YouTube (http://youtu.be/mtQTSwLH8Bo) and since someone had asked for a tutorial which was not forthcoming I thought it would be helpful to post the piece on my BLOG.

My version isn't exactly note-for-note accurate but it is close. Apart from the traditional notation I've included the chords on which the arpeggios are based, so you can work with them to create any playing style you like and it should work. For reasons of copyright I have not included the lyrics other than a few "markers" but you will be able to find them on the web if you search for the title. Also, you will see that I have used standard tuning with a full capo on the 6th fret to match the original arrangement however you can locate the capo to suit your voice or that of the person you may be accompanying.

Hope you like the arrangement and please let me know if you found it useful.

A Free Piece

James Williams

With summer upon us - although if you live in the UK you wouldn't know it - I thought you might like something different so here is an introductory piece to play in the sun (or the rain!) and which should be within the capability of many of you. It's in Music PlayCharts format, which means you get charts, TABs and music notation all in the one package. "Wayfarin' Stranger", I hope you like it, and as it says on the tin, embellish it to your hearts content. Enjoy, and have a great summer.
